Snow forecast as temperatures drop

WITH temperatures falling snow has been forecast across the country, including Warrington, late on Monday.

This morning’s (Sunday) forecast locally includes bright spells and the odd shower. It will turn cloudier in the afternoon with patchy outbreaks of rain pushing in from the west. Rain clearing to showers by the evening.

Tonight

Tonight will start with variable cloud and the odd lingering shower locally. Drier later in the night with clear skies. It will be a cold night.

Monday

Tomorrow will have a cold and bright start with sunshine. It will turn cloudier in the afternoon with spells of rain pushing in from the west by the evening. A chance of snow by the end of the day.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday

Cloud will tend to clear early on Tuesday morning, revealing largely bright skies for the majority of the day. Breezy on the coasts. Wednesday will be windy, especially on the coasts which will likely see a few sleet and snow showers move in from the north-west. Somewhat drier and possibly brighter towards inland areas. Similar on Thursday. Cold throughout the period.

The last snowfall in Warrington was mid-January.
