Police in Warrington have secured a closure order following reports of anti-social behaviour and illegal drug use at a property in Great Sankey
.
The property on Finsbury Close has been shut down by officers after securing a closure order under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. .
The order will run for three months and is a direct result of officers responding to the concerns of residents regarding the behaviour at the property.
Officers from Warrington worked with the housing association, which owns the property, to encourage local residents to come forward and provide evidence against their disruptive neighbour.
The occupant has since been ordered to leave the property and find alternative accommodation, with all windows and doors being secured for a period of three months. Anyone who enters the address during that time will be committing a criminal offence and could be arrested.
Sgt Anna Bell said: “We would like to thank the members of the community who came forward over the past few months and supported our team in investigating complaints surrounding the property and the issues raised.
“I want to urge anyone with concerns about ASB or other criminality in their community to please contact local officers and we will do everything we can to address these issues and achieve justice.”
