POLICE have issued a warning over bogus prison rehabilitation scheme cold callers operating in the Warrington area.
Officers have received multiple reports of the males knocking on doors in Lymm and south Warrington trying to sell clothes and cleaning products on the doorstep claiming to be from the prison rehabilitation scheme.
Police are continuing to advise that there is no such scheme and these males are operating illegally, they also require a pedlars license which they do not have.
Despite multiple patrols around the area and locations mentioned police have not been able to speak to any males who have been around the Lymm area.
For future reference if these males knock on your door do not buy anything and ask them to leave, if they become aggressive or refuse to leave then contact police via 101 or 999.
Officers can provide these “no cold callers” stickers to place on doors at their local surgeries.
