BUDDING teachers from Warrington and the surrounding area have the opportunity to gain a detailed insight into the profession later this month.

Generate Teaching Hub – part of Warrington Primary Academy Trust – will be showcasing its teacher training programme at the Get Into Teaching event at Manchester’s Midland Hotel on Saturday, May 20.
Linda Humphries, School Direct Manager at Generate Teaching Hub, said: “The Manchester event will be a brilliant opportunity to chat to teacher training providers as well as representatives from the Department for Education and we’re really looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand. We’re looking for talented and committed individuals who can become the classroom teachers – and school leaders – of tomorrow.”
For those who can’t attend the Manchester event there will be other opportunities to meet the Generate team at one of their Question-and-Answer sessions hosted at local schools. Further information about scheduled sessions by contacting [email protected].

Generate Teaching Hub – part of Warrington Primary Academy Trust – has 20 places available on its 2023-24 School Direct initial teacher training (ITT) programme, a school-based training programme with students gaining practical classroom experience in schools across Warrington and Halton. The programme is a full-time, one-year, non-salaried course, with accreditation by Liverpool Hope University awarding a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Trainees can choose one of three training routes: primary 5-11 years, primary 3-7 years and primary 5-11 years with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).
Graduates of Generate’s training programme have gone on to begin successful teaching careers, with 16 teachers who trained with Generate currently working in WPAT and neighbouring schools.
