FOUR more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week, although infection rates have fallen for the first time in five weeks.
A total of 104 (122) cases were reported in the past week with the largest number of cases (20) being reported in the Grappenhall area.
The 104 cases week ending March 4 compared to 122 cases in the week ending Feb 25. While there have been four more COVID-19-related hospital deaths in the past week, although inpatient numbers have reduced from 41-39 with 35 (28) patients discharged in the past week.

There have been 122 (87) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 85,519 (85,402) – 78,623 (78,553) 1st infections, 6,896 (6,849) reinfections and an infection rate of 49.7 (58.3) per 100,000 which have fallen for the first time after five consecutive rises, compared to a rate of 43 (43.4) for England which have also fallen slightly.
