CARE assistants and reablement support workers are needed in Warrington – and the borough council is looking for caring people to take on the roles.

Applicants don’t need any particular qualifications or previous work experience to apply for these roles, as full training and support will be provided along with opportunities to gain recognised qualifications in care.
Qualities the council will be looking for are::
• A caring nature and strong values of treating people with dignity and respect
• Willingness to undertake training to a minimum of Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Care (if you do not already have a qualification)
• A basic level of reading and writing skills
• A current driving licence, or the council can provide support to achieve this
• Able to work to a rota that includes evenings and weekends
In return, the council offers:
• A competitive rate of pay with payment and enhancements for working in the evening and at weekends
• Full training and support with gaining recognised qualifications

• A planned, four week rolling rota with flexibility within the team
• Shift patterns from 15 to 37 hours per week
• Generous paid holiday allowance of 25 days per year (rising to 30 days after five years’ service)
• Fully funded DBS checks
• Use of a pool car (with fuel) during shifts to travel between calls
• Uniform
