WOOLSTON Rovers have announced a new look coaching team that will continue to be headed up by Head of Coaching Mal Holt.
Alongside him, leading the NCL team, will be Rob Campbell and Billy Sheen. The NWML team will be led by Liam Lawton and Mal Mason whilst our Under 18s side, who will work a lot closer with the Open Age, will have Dom Ball as Head Coach and he will be assisted by Rob Griffiths.
The club also very excited to welcome former Super League player, Irish international and ex Woolston Rovers Junior star Tyrone McCarthy to their coaching team as Coaching Consultant.
The addition of former Wire Wembley winner Tyrone and Billy, with their vast experience of the professional game, plus Dom and Rob, two current players who are Woolston through and through, to lead the Under 18s certainly more than bolsters the club’s already established coaching team.
Rovers Club Chairman Steve Moore said, “It really is an exciting time for us and we are delighted to see the coaching structure that Mal has put in place. To have Tyke coming on board as a coaching consultant is fantastic and with the addition of Billy Sheen, Dom Ball and Rob Griffiths to complement the great work done by Mal, Rob Campbell, Liam Lawton and Mal Mason over the past few years then we are in a really good place.”
