Work set to start on carriageway repairs on A57 Manchester Road

WORK is set to start on carriageway repairs on the A57 Manchester Road and adjacent streets from Monday (October 25) for up to eight weeks.

The works will take place from 7 pm to 1 am in a bid to minimise traffic disruption in the area.
Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to introduce a prohibition of driving and clearway as follows:
A57 Manchester Road from the roundabout at M6 junction 21 to Warburton Bridge Road; From A57 Manchester Road for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Brook Lane; Holly Bush Lane; Moat Lane; Chapel Lane. The Order will be effective from 25th October 2021 for 8 weeks between 7 pm and 1 am, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via A57 Manchester Road, B5212 Glazebrook Lane, B5212 Holcroft Lane, A574 Birchwood Way, B5210 Woolston Grange Avenue and vice versa.
The restrictions are required for carriageway patching and resurfacing.
