WARRINGTON Ryland’s lifted the FA Vase at Wembley thanks to a hat-trick from striker Elliott Nevitt as they defeated Binfield FC 3-2 in a thrilling final.

In a pulsating game Nevitt was also named man-of-the-match as Rylands celebrated in front of their 1,500 fans.

After an evenly balanced opening 25 minutes it was Rylands who took the lead when Coveney headed the ball down for Nevitt to fire the ball into the ground to beat the keeper on 26 minutes.
But on 42 minutes Binfield were level as Ferdinand netted from a Moore cross.
But within two minutes Rylands were back in front as Charlie Doyle was brought down in the box with Nevitt calmly slotting the ball home under the keeper’s hand to make it 2-1 at the break.
Nevitt completed his hat-trick heading home from a corner on the hour to give Rylands some breathing space – but back came Binfield as Ferdinand scored his second on 67 minutes firing home from outside the box to set up a thrilling last quarter as the fame opened up and players tired.
Nevitt had a great chance to add a 4th in the closing stages after running clear one on one with the keeper who managed to save with his feet.
With the clock ticking down Binfield couldn’t find a way through as Rylands held on for a famous and deserved victory.
