WARRINGTON Police have been getting a positive response to the start of a week of action tackling knife crime, with more than 30 knives taken out of circulation at Fearnhead, earlier today, Monday.
A total of 13 knives were also handed in to be destroyed at a surrender bin at Asda Westbrook, on Saturday while 35 knives were handed over at Fearnhead shops.
As part of their week of action on knife crime and its affects, police are also sending out information and work around Knife crime to over 16 thousand pupils via the homework portal.
During Op Sceptre officers will be carrying out knife sweeps, knife surrenders, education in schools and targeting offenders.
The knife surrender bin is out at the following locations as part of the ongoing week of action on knife crime.
