ONE more patient has sadly died at Warrington Hospital, while 40 new COVID-19 cases has seen the town’s downward trend plateau.
But hospital inpatient numbers are now below the levels seen during the first wave of the pandemic for the first time this year.
The 40 (38) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 16,899 (16,859).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 287 (286) – 136.7 (136.2) per 100,000 population.
This compares to the national rate of 116.4 (119) per 100,000.
