Still no final decision on disused factory site at Lymm

A LENGTHY planning process to decide the future of a disused factory site at Lymm looks to be reaching a conclusion.

Members of Warrington Borough Council’s development management committee may agree to delegate the final decision on the future of the former Elastomer works, off Rushgreen Road, to the development control manager.
The committee has already approved outline proposals to demolish the factory to make way for nine houses.
But after it was discovered that ownership of adjoining Millers Lane was not known it was agreed to defer the final decision.
Millers Lane is necessary to provide access to the site.
It is now required for a site notice to be posted adjacent to the site to give any potential objector the opportunity to make representations.
As a result, the final decision has yet to be made.
