Warrington's COVID-19 hot spots revealed as most areas show downward trend

WARRINGTON’S latest COVID-19 hot spots have been revealed with most areas showing a downward trend, although some parts of the borough have still seen increasing numbers.

Six areas of the borough have seen increases, the most significant at Winwick and Burtonwood, Locking Stumps, Great Sankey and Latchford.

But the majority of areas has seen a downward trend with the overall number of new COVID-19 cases reducing by 383 over a seven day period for Public Health England’s small area positive case numbers for the week ended 16/1 with the corresponding numbers of cases in the previous 7 days (ended 9/1), shown in parentheses.
