THE Met Office has issued a Yellow weather warning for Warrington and the North West for ice with also the risk of patchy snow, tomorrow, Thursday.
Remaining dry through Wednesday evening and overnight, largely clear skies will lead to very cold temperatures. This will introduce a risk of patches of freezing fog, and potentially icy conditions. Light breeze throughout. Minimum temperature -6 °C.
A frosty, bright start to Thursday- though any patches of freezing fog will be slow to clear. Turning cloudy through the afternoon, accompanied by outbreaks of light rain, sleet, and snow. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday: A few outbreaks of rain, snow, and sleet on Friday. Remaining dry through Saturday. Cold across these days with sunny spells, and overnight frosts. Turning cloudy and milder on Sunday.
With some areas of Warrington still having patches of ice and snow driving conditions could be difficult although Warrington Borough Council gritters have been out on A roads this evening.
