Man charged with affray and possessing offensive weapon following incident at Golden Square

A 53-year-old local man has been charged with affray and possessing an offensive weapon following an incident at Golden Square, Warrington, yesterday, Monday.

Neil Howarth was arrested on Monday 18 May following reports of a man with a knife at Golden Square shopping centre.
The 53-year-old of Leonard Street, Warrington, has since been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Howarth has been remanded in custody to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday 20 May.
