TRAFFIC chaos continued on the roads of Warrington during the busy evening rush hour following reports of a collision near Lane Ends at Penketh.
It followed on from traffic chaos during the morning rush hour following a five-car collision on the M62 and a vehicle on fire on the M6 near Warrington.
Commuters travelling into work from West Warrington found a usual 15-minute journey taking in excess of an hour. Delays of 90 minutes were experienced on the motorway networks.
This morning’s gridlock was replicated during the evening rush hour traffic following a collision near Penketh Road and Liverpool Road near Lane Ends.
Reports locally suggest it involved a two-car collision.
Cheshire Police have been approached for comment, although a response is unlikely until tomorrow, Wednesday.
