POLICE have provided an update on two road traffic collisions in Stockton Heath, Warrington, at the weekend.
The first was on Friday night around 10.30 pm outside Gin Alley on London Rd. This involved a driver who had an epileptic seizure at the wheel and crossed the carriageway and hit an on-coming car.
Police attended and the road was closed whilst the male received treatment in the ambulance, but thankfully it was a low-speed collision and there were no injuries reported.
The second was in the early hours of Sunday morning, also on London Rd, and involved a vehicle mounting the pavement and hitting a 19-year-old pedestrian. The driver then drove off from the scene.
Police patrols later located the vehicle and the female driver was arrested for Failing to stop after an accident, failing to provide a sample of breath when requested, and Dangerous Driving.
She is now on police bail pending a full investigation.
