FIREFIGHTERS are alerting police following a suspected arson incident off Bewsey Farm Close, Warrington, on Monday afternoon.
At 16:14 one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a fire on Bewsey Farm Close.
Firefighters used their water backpacks and fire beaters to put a fire of around 50 square metres involving grass and shrubbery.
Police will be notified as it is believed to be a deliberate ignition.
In another incident last night, shortly after 7:30 pm one fire crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a fire in the open at Orford Green.
Firefighters used a bucket of water to extinguish a small fire involving foliage. This is also believed to have been lit deliberately.
