High tide flood warning for Mersey Estuary at Arpley Bridge

A Flood warning for Mersey Estuary at Arpley Bridge, Warrington, has been issued due to a high tide forecast this afternoon.

Flooding of property is currently expected on parts of Chester Road, Arpley Road and underneath Arpley Railway Bridge between 14:15 and 15:15 BST on 31/03/2025.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
The Environment Agency is closely monitoring the situation and liaising with emergency services and local authorities.
Flood warning area: Chester Road between Brian Bevan Island and Arpley Railway Bridge; and Arpley Road in Warrington.
