FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington were called out to reports of an unattended bonfire and a deliberate fire in the open.
At 19:15 last night (Thursday) one crew from Warrington, attended reports of a fire on Penny Lane, Collins Green.
Firefighters found an unattended bonfire and used a hose reel jet to begin extinguishing the flames. The fire was then left with a responsible person to continue a controlled burn.
Earlier at 17:28 one fire engine from Warrington was called out to reports of a fire in the open on land near Gulliver’s World.
A water backpack was used to extinguish a small fire in the open in Warrington. This is believed to have been started deliberately.
