WARRINGTON South MP Sarah Hall is delighted the “Flood Pod” will be visiting Warrington later this week, following the floodings in the town last January.
Mary Long-Dhonau OBE, better known as ‘Flood Mary’, will be bringing her Flood Pod to Warrington on Wednesday 5th March between 1 pm-6 pm as part of a national tour.
This comes after January’s flooding which saw properties flooded across Warrington, with many families still unable to return home.
Mary was the victim of flooding herself and has been supporting and advising other victims of flooding during recovery for over 20 years.
The Flood Pod is a showcase of Property Flood Resilience measures and demonstrates just what these solutions can do to mitigate the appalling impacts of flooding.
Further details about the Flood Pod can be found on the Flood Mary website: https://floodmary.com/the-floodmobile/
The Warrington South MP will also be attending this event, as well as officials from Warrington Borough Council and the Environment Agency.
The Flood Pod will be based at the Bewsey & Dallam Community Hub between 1 pm and 6 pm on Wednesday 5th March.
Sarah Hall MP said: “I’m delighted to have Mary and the Flood Pod in Warrington after this year’s flooding, and I look forward to discussing ways to support affected residents.
“Mary is an expert when it comes to flood resilience and recovery, and we are very fortunate to be able to draw on her expertise.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to learn about Property Flood resilience and how they can better prepare for the flooding events that have become all too familiar.
“I saw first-hand the effect of both the 2021 and 2025 floods and I know how important it is for communities vulnerable to flooding to be prepared for the worst.”
