Five fire crews and aerial ladder platform called out to fire at large commercial premises

FIVE fire crews and the aerial ladder platform were called out to a fire at large commercial premises on Chesford Grange, Woolston, last night.

at 21:35 fire crews from Lymm, Warrington and Penketh, the aerial ladder platform from Lymm and two fire engines from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (Irlam and Altrincham) attended the scene of a fire in a large commercial premises in Woolston, Warrington. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus with two hose reel jets tackled the fire.

At 22:00 the fire was extinguished and the incident was to four fire engines.
Firefighters then checked the premises for fire spread and the incident was reduced to three fire engines and the aerial ladder platform.
Crews continued to dampen down the area and left the scene just before midnight.

Earlier at 18:50 two fire crews from Stockton Heath and Lymm were called out to reports of smoke in commercial premises on Gaskell Street, Warrington.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus removed and extinguished a bag of towels that was smoking. A high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the affected area.

At 19:58 one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a bin fire on Marsden Avenue.
Firefighters used a water backpack and bucket of water to extinguish a fire in a bin, believed to have been started deliberately.
