A Warrington man, who admitted sexually assaulting a young woman near a train station, has been warned he faces a prison sentence.
Liam Brodrick, of Poplars Avenue, pleaded guilty today (Thur) to sexually assaulting the woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, by intentional touching on January 28 last year.
He also admitted attempting to sexually assault her by penetration on the same date.
Judge Andrew Menary, KC, the Recorder of Liverpool, ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared but warned the 27-year-old that “it will be concerned about the risk you pose and an assessment of dangerousness.
“It is inevitable that there will be a prison sentence for these offences.”
Liverpool Crown Court heard that Brodrick has been on bail and the judge renewed this until March 17 when he is to return for sentence. Conditions of his bail include not to enter Warrington Central Station or Bank Quay Station apart from the day he comes back to court.
The defendant was also ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders Register.
