Council planners approve apartments at former solicitor’s office

COUNCIL planners at Warrington have given the go-ahead for a former solicitor’s office in a conservation area to be converted into five apartment.

Photographic evidence has shown that the property in Bold Street has been a solicitors office since at least 2016.

Officers said the building has the appearance of a residential building and makes a generally positive contribution to the appearance of the street scene.
The proposals would not involve any exterior alterations to the property and the change of use of the ground floor – to residential – would not impact on the character of the Bold Street Conservation Area.
Plans were approved, subject to approval of details relating to a scheme to prevent parking at the front of the building, electric vehicle charging and cycle storage.
