IT’S only been open since late 2024 but Stockton Heath village restaurant Juniper has shot to the number one slot in Warrington’s top 10 restaurants on TripAdvisor.
Serving an array of epicurean brunch and lunch favourites, it is based on London Road close to the heart of Stockton Heath.
The site was previously occupied by steakhouse Tomahawk and prior to that the popular French restaurant chain Bistrot Pierre was there for a decade until the pandemic.
Rising from the ashes is Juniper, a small chain with other sites in Bramhall, Hale and Wilmslow in Cheshire.
Among the menu favourites include brunch staples such as eggs Benedict and smashed avocado on toast paired with crispy bacon, portobello mushrooms and halloumi. Or for traditionalists, there’s a full English breakfast or homemade American-style pancakes.
Drinks range from coffee to tea, fruit smoothies, protein shots and mocktails for special occasions.
At lunch, there are a range of burgers, salads or grilled sea bass on the menu.
Juniper has hit the number one spot on review site TripAdvisor as a result of more than 50 five-star reviews.
The latest five-star review noted: “Delicious food and very well presented. Would recommend.
“Maybe slightly more expensive than other places for a brunch but well worth it.”
A second reviewer said: “Very welcoming staff, food was fabulous and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Brilliant hospitality would highly recommend.”
And a third diner said: “Fantastic new restaurant, great staff. We’ve been made very welcome each time we’ve been.
“However, we have asked if we could possibly have the smaller portions of a cooked breakfast/pancakes as offered for (strictly) under 12s and we were told (very politely) no!
“So we opted for croissants which were very nice but they actually lost money by us not being able to have smaller portions.
“Perhaps this could possibly change?”
