A 26-year-old youth worker is to run a marathon to help Warrington Youth Zone raise £8,100 to help young people struggling with mental health issues.

Brad Evans will set out from Warrington’s Golden Gates on Tuesday, February 4 and hopes to raise £500 to help the Youth Zone towards its goal.
If the £8,100 target is achieved it will unlock a further £8,100 grant from Sport England.
Meghan Lovewell, of Warrington Youth Zone, said: “We believe every young person deserves a chance to thrive. Through our work, we’ve seen how small interventions can lead to life-changing transformations. Sport England has generously offered us £8,100 to help young people who are struggling with their mental health—but we need help to unlock this funding!
“We’re asking our amazing community to come together and raise £8,100 so we can secure Sport England’s funding. Every donation—no matter how small—will make a huge difference.“

Brad Evans will start his run at the Golden Gates at 11am and finish at Warrington Youth Zone. He has a passion for fund raising, has already run 400 miles to raise money for Wigan Youth Zone and plans to push himself to the limit running marathons for local youth organisations.
Next year, he plans to run the entire length of the UK.
