THE bus interchange in Warrington town centre is set to reopen tomorrow, Tuesday 14 January.
This follows the temporary closure of the interchange after a burst pipe caused a water leak.
While passengers will be able to start, continue or end their journey as normal at the interchange, the facility will continue to be without mains water.
This means that the public toilets will remain closed and work will continue in the coming days to restore water. Toilets are available at Golden Square shopping centre.
The reopening of the interchange means that the temporary arrangements announced on Sunday will no longer apply.
A Warrington Borough Council spokesperson said: “We apologise for the inconvenience and are grateful to our passengers for their understanding.”
Meanwhile, shoppers at budget retailer Primark were left disappointed today as the store was forced to shut its doors.
The store is close to the bus station in Warrington which has been hard hit by a water pipe burst which saw major disruption to bus services which were diverted from the area.
A Primark spokesperson issued a statement which said: “We can confirm that our Warrington store is closed today (13th January) due to flooding, resulting from a burst pipe.
“We’re really sorry to any customers who had hoped to shop with us today. We’re working hard to resolve this and hope to reopen the store tomorrow morning (14th January).”
