WORK is ongoing across a multi-agency partnership following yesterday’s flooding events in Warrington.
Yesterday evening, at the request of the fire service, SP Energy Networks isolated supplies for safety reasons to affected properties in Warrington. Power has now been restored to all properties on Southworth Avenue and work continues to bring electricity back to the other affected properties.
For other areas affected by flooding, including Higham, Warrington Borough Council remains in constant contact with SP Energy Networks on this and will keep residents updated.
Highways inspectors are on site across affected areas and will be arranging road sweeping/ clear up wherever possible. Some sites are not yet able to be cleared due to remaining flood water.
Supporting residents who have been affected is paramount to the council. Torus is currently door knocking to provide advice and support, and anyone in need can contact the wellbeing service line on 01925 818017 option 4, or email [email protected]
Meanwhile Warrington South MP Sarah Hall has launched a crowdfunding appeal for thos impacted by the flooding.
