A number of road closures will be in place this Saturday (December 14) for the annual Lymm Dickensian Festival parade through the village.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the event which is aimed at helping boost trade in the village ahead of Christmas.
Local school children and villagers dress in period or fancy dress costumes and parade through the village led by the village Town crier.
Warrington Borough Council has given notice, on the occasion of the Lymm Dickensian Festival, no cart, carriage, motor car, lorry or other vehicle (excepting vehicles taking part in the event, Police, Ambulance and Fire Service vehicles and Mail Carts) and no horses or other animal be allowed to remain in or travel along or over any of the undermentioned streets.

The Cross between Eagle Brow and Pepper Street
Eagle Brow between The Cross and Brookfield Road
Bridgewater Street
Whitbarrow Road between Bridgewater Street and Brookfield Road
Between the hours of 12.30pm and 1.45pm
Brookfield Road between Whitbarrow Road and Eagle Brow
Between the hours of 1.00pm and 2.30pm
The Cross between Pepper Street and Lymm Bridge
Lymm Bridge
New Road between Lymm Bridge and Dane Bank Road East
Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicle” and must not be ridden through any of the named streets during the hours specified. Any person wilfully acting in contravention of the above Order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
Vehicular access will be under the control of the organisers. Pedestrian and emergency routes will be maintained.
