A TEAM from a Warrington florists’ shop will be spreading happiness on Wednesday, October 16 – by giving away flowers in the street.
La Beau Fleurs at Woolston will be hitting the streets of Woolston, handing out bunches of flowers to the community to help brighten up their week as part of the International “Petal it Forward” campaign.
The shop is joining florists across the globe as part of a random-acts-of-kindness effort organised in response to data showing the positive emotional benefits of flowers.
For not only does university research reveal flowers have an immediate impact on happiness and a long-term positive effect on moods but when it comes to flowers, it’s just as good to give as it is to receive.
With this data in mind, La Beau Fleurs is not only spreading happiness to lucky Woolston residents who receive the flowers but giving them the chance to “Petal it Forward” and spread happiness to others: An extra flower bouquet to share with a loved one, co-worker or even a stranger.

La Beau Fleurs and their ‘Petal It Forward’ Happiness Ambassador Team will give away flowers to people on the street. After receiving their flowers, recipients will be asked to spread the happiness by gifting their second bouquet and sharing their happiness on social media using #petalitforward.
