WHILE the sun wasn’t shining it was quacking weather for the annual Warrington & Latchford Duck Race on the River Mersey.
The threat of rain and heavy showers didn’t deter large crowds from turning out at the event at Warrington Rowing Club.
There were craft stalls, fairground rides, burgers, ice cream and other activities on the river bank to entertain the assembled crowd.

Deputy Mayor Cllr. Mo Hussain
Deputy Mayor, Cllr. Mo. Hussain was on hand to launch the event with Warrington North MP Charlotte Nichols also on hand to help retrieve the ducks.
The family day event was organised and shared by the two communities of Fairfield and Howley and Latchford East.
Winning Ducks: 12, 6, 14, 8, 24, 31, 79, 41, 27 & 11 proof of ticket will be needed. Please message to collect winnings.
All funds raised were for the Warrington Pyjama Appeal.

A great turnout for The Great Warrington Duck Race today, in aid of the Warrington Pyjama Appeal. 'Fishing all the ducks out of the Mersey' duty with @WarringtonRowC was oddly satisfying too, like a giant hook-a-duck 🦆🎣
Thank you to everyone who made the event such a success! pic.twitter.com/r8FDGwdECI
