SEVEN casualties were reported following a two car collision which resulted in the closure of Birchwood Way, Warrington, last night.
At 21:40 fire crews from Warrington, Lymm and Birchwood attended the scene of a two car collision on Birchwood Way at Fearnhead
One casualty was trapped inside their vehicle. Firefighters assisted Paramedics with casualties. Cheshire Police were also on scene and put a full road closure in place.
A total of seven casualties were involved. The person trapped in their vehicle was released by firefighters and taken to hospital by paramedics.
Earlier at 18:29 one fire crew attended reports of a car fire on Hawleys Lane, Warrington.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and a set of breathing apparatus to extinguish a car which was well alight on arrival.
