A bungalow at Gorse Covert, Warrington, was evacuated as firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a kitchen blaze.
At 18:43 yesterday (Thursday) one crew from Warrington attended reports of a fire at a property on Dalby Close, Gorse Covert.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a kitchen fire in a bungalow using a hose reel jet. Occupants of the property had been evacuated and accounted for.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and ensure the fire was out. Crews used a high-pressure fan to clear the smoke. One casualty was given precautionary checks by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
