THE Warrington town centre HSBC bank is closing temporarily while it undergoes a refresh, which includes internal building works.
The branch based in a GRADE II Listed building, closes on 2nd August 2024 and is expected to re-open on 2nd September 2024.
Julie Davies, HSBC UK’s Local Director, said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to make our customers’ experience banking with us a good one. We are pleased that our Warrington branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.”
“We have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, and while we are having the work done people can continue to use their nearest Post Office for day-to-day transactions, plus mobile and online banking is available 24/7 in addition to being able to call our contact centre.
“We will also be hosting Community Pop Up Events at the DWP, 10 Mersey Street, Warrington WA1 2BL on 7th August 2024 from 10 am – 4 pm. We will also be at Warrington Post Office, 18 The Mall, Warrington, WA1 1QE on the 13th and 16th of August 2024 from 10 am-4 pm, where we will be on hand to support customers.
“Customers can also continue to use any of our branches with St Helens or Runcorn being the closest branches.”
The Grade II-listed building was built in the early 20th century, with documents stating that its ‘architectural character and appearance signify solidity and respectability to the building’s use’.
Warrington Borough Council planners granted permission for the works last year.
