Car parking fees set to increase at Walton Hall & Gardens

CAR parking fees are set to increase at Walton Hall & Gardens from June 1st – the first increase since 2017.

The Walton Hall car park operates as a public pay and display car park 7 days per week and is accessed via Walton Lea Road and provides a parking facility for visitors to Walton Hall and Gardens.

Following a review of the current charging regime, a proposal has been submitted to revise the scale of charges at Walton Hall’s pay and display car park.
The last variation occurred in 2017 and after careful consideration, a further variation has been proposed to ensure the car park takes into account inflationary pressures since this date.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice that the Council has approved a variation of the scale of charges operated at the Walton Hall Gardens Car Park. The revised scale of charges will come into force from 1st June 2024. Details of the existing and revised charges are set out below:

Existing Charge  Revised Charge

Weekends/Bank Holidays

Release Fee £90.00 £90.00

Failure to display a valid ticket during charging hours or parking in contravention to the conditions of the car park may result in a Penalty Charge Notice of £50 or £70 being issued. The amount payable is dependent on the severity of the contravention, which can be reduced by 50% if payment is received within 14 days of the issue of the Penalty Charge Notice or within 21 days for Penalty Charge Notices issued by post.
