WARRINGTON Rylands visit Macclesfield on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten run to 11 games by winning their 6th consecutive game and reaching the 4th qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time in their 117-year history.
Beating Stockton Town and FC United of Manchester in earlier rounds they have already gone further in the competition than they have done in the past, having first entered the world’s oldest football tournament as recently as 2019.
Currently 2nd in the NPL Premier Division table following their 1-0 win at Gorsey Lane over FC United of Manchester on Tuesday, Warrington Rylands are three places above their opponents who are 5th three points behind their visitors.
Rylands visited the Moss Rose for a league game on August Bank Holiday Monday and came away with a much-deserved point from a 1-1 draw, Dean Furman scoring their equalizing goal in the 9th minute of added time.
Since then Rylands have won all five games played while Macclesfield have won 4 and drawn one. They drew 1-1 away at Ilkeston Town on Tuesday with former Rylands player Kane Drummond scoring the Silkmen’s goal.
Averaging crowd of over 3,200 (3,144 attended the league games) Macclesfield are expecting another big crowd and have advised tickets can be bought before the game to avoid queuing on the day from https://macclesfieldfc.ticketco.events
