ALL lanes of the M6 near Warrington have now re-opened following a multi-vehicle collision that caused lengthy delays during the early evening rush hour.
Delays of an hour and lengthy tailbacks of at least six miles on the M6 were being reported by the highways agency as emergency services attended the incident.
Two lanes (of 4) were closed on the M6 northbound between J20 (M56) and J21 (Warrington) due to the multi-vehicle collision.
Emergency services attended at the scene and recovery has now been completed with all lanes open.
This incident is now clear, and all lanes have re-opened on the #M6 northbound in #Cheshire between J20 (#M56) and J21 (#Warrington).
A 45 minute delay remains in the area but this should now start to ease.
