Lengthy delays following multi-vehicle collision on M6

ALL lanes of the M6 near Warrington have now re-opened following a multi-vehicle collision that caused lengthy delays during the early evening rush hour.

Delays of an hour and lengthy tailbacks of at least six miles on the M6 were being reported by the highways agency as emergency services attended the incident.

Two lanes (of 4) were closed on the M6 northbound between J20 (M56) and J21 (Warrington) due to the multi-vehicle collision.

Emergency services attended at the scene and recovery has now been completed with all lanes open.
