AS a “massive” unauthorised travellers encampment of 20 caravans was being served court papers to vacate Silver Lane at Risley by this evening Wednesday, 20 caravans pitched up on playing fields at Orford Jubilee Hub.
The 20 caravans that arrived at Silver Lane last Thursday had ignored attempts to move them on, with court papers being served requiring them to vacate the Warrington Borough Council owned land by this evening.
Its unclear at this stage if the 20 caravans that have arrived at Orford Jubilee Hub playing fields are the same ones that were at Silver Lane.
Its understood a smaller group of caravans have been on the overflow car park at Orford Jubilee Hub for several weeks.

Shame a Section 61 order was not used for the Silver Lane illegal encampment , very selective use of the Police and Criminal Justice Act
