THE mysterious disappearance of Warrington man James Miller more than two years ago is being featured on “The Missing” podcast.

The heartbroken sister of James Miller is interviewed at length in the podcast – and speaks openly at her family’s distress over the fact that they have had no information about him since he disappeared at 11pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

James was aged 38 when he disappeared and was last seen on Slater Street in Latchford.
His sister Emma said: “Unfortunately we haven’t had any updates, and any potential leads have all hit dead ends.”
Police carried out a major search of the area after James was reported missing – including search of the Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal. But to no avail.
Emma is interviewed by journalist Pandora Sykes in the podcast.
She says: “James used to be, well, still is…my big brother, so he always stood up for me. He wound me up a lot, but he was always there to stand up for me and be that big brother that I always needed.”

Emma explains how her brother had a failed marriage. But she says it produced a daughter for him and a wonderful niece for her and other members of the family.
It was unfortunate that the relationship broke up, she says.
“But at least we got the most beautiful thing out of it. He gained a daughter and we gained a niece. So that was one of his best achievements in life.”
In the three years since James was last seen, there have been numerous reported sightings – 52 in the last 12 months alone.
Unfortunately, none of them have led to anything. With each passing day, Emma knows the odds of her being reunited with her sibling grow longer. What she wants more than anything, is a lead, one solitary piece of evidence that could shed some light on what happened.

Detective Inspector Helen Clegg said: “Since the disappearance of James Miller in December 2020 Cheshire police have released a number of appeals as part of their ongoing efforts to locate the missing man. These have included releases on the six month and one-year anniversaries of James’ disappearance.
“The original appeal remains active on our website, and we would encourage anyone with any information in relation to James’ whereabouts to get in touch. Our thoughts remain with James’ family at this time.”
Warrington-Worldwide reported on James’ disappearance at the time and the report can be seen at https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2020/12/27/police-appeal-for-help-to-find-missing-warrington-man-james-miller/
