HIGHWAY planners have confirmed a three day road closure at Appleton Thorn, Warrington, to allow a broadband provider to clear multiple blockages on the network.

The closure order to allow Freedom Fibre to carry out the repairs will come into force next Tuesday, July 11.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Pepper Street from its junction with Stretton Road to its junction with Barley Castle Road.

The Order will be effective from 11th July 2023 for 3 days, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Stretton Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Freedom Fibre to repair multiple blockages on the existing network.
