WARRINGTON-based theatre group Encore Productions will be taking to the stage at the end of the month with an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic story, “The Witches.”
The play will be performed at the Brindley Theatre Studio, Runcorn from Thursday to Saturday, April 27-29, including a matinee performance on the Saturday.
A faithful adaptation of the original story, it tells how Boy and his Grandmother defeat the Grand High Witch and her followers, who are holding a conference in an English seaside hotel.

Group discounts are also available for groups of over 10 people by calling the box office. With a cast of more than 20, including some incredibly talented children, both the cast and production team are very excited to bring this classic children’s story to life for their audiences.

This is Encore’s first play since 2018 and they are excited to be returning to producing plays again. More recently they have been performing musical theatre shows in social clubs around Warrington to help raise funds and rebuild after the pandemic. Their recent show “Big Night Out: Musical Memories” sold out two nights and had phenomenal feedback from attendees. The next one is already scheduled for September this year with a theme of “Best of British” and performing songs by British artists.
