Firefighters help rescue trapped person after Kingsway South closed following collision

UPDATED: FIREFIGHTERS helped rescue a trapped person after a car collided with a lamp post on Kingsway South last night, Wednesday.

Police and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision, involving a car colliding with a lamp post following a collision between a white Ford Fiesta and a silver Ford Focus.

At 20:14 fire crews from Stockton Heath and Warrington attended at the scene involving a collision involving a car and a lamp post. One person was medically trapped so crews removed the roof of the vehicle. Paramedics attended to treat the casualty.

Meanwhile earlier in the day motorists seven miles of congestion on the M62 near Birchwood following a four-vehicle collision, involving three cars and a van on the westbound carriageway at junction 11, at around 4.30 pm.

Traffic was held as a result of the incident, with delays reported of up to 75 minutes. The motorway has since fully re-opened.

  1. This is all wrong, the white car had a blow out on the back tire he crashed into a parked car after he pulled to the side to avoid causing injuries to any other person on the road he didn’t hit the lamppost! Don’t write false reports if you don’t know what actually happened
