Wheelie bin deliberately set on fire on railway embankment

A wheelie bin was deliberately torched on a railway embankment in Warrington last night.

Shortly before 9 pm one fire engine from Warrington attended reports of a fire on a railway embankment on Hume Street, Warrington.

Firefighters used a hose reel water jet to put out a wheelie bin on fire on a railway embankment. The fire is believed to have started deliberately.
Anyone with information should call Cheshire Police on 101.

Earlier in the day at 3:45 pm, one crew attended a car fire on the M62 Eastbound at Winwick.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel water jet to put out a fire in the engine of a car. Two lanes of the motorway were closed during the incident.
