Residents urged to be vigilant following burglary and theft of vehicle

POLICE are warning residents in the Poplars & Hulme area of Warrington to be vigilant following a recent burglary.

The burglary was in the Whittaker Avenue area, involving the theft of a motor vehicle.

Local officers are warning residents to be vigilant and to keep property locked and any valuables out of sight.

They are also suggesting creating a street whatsapp group so that all the neighbours can look out for each other, or getting involved in creating a neighbourhood watch scheme.
