Busy night for police tackling alcohol-related crime including assault on emergency worker

POLICE had a busy night dealing with alcohol-related offences including an assault on an emergency worker in the town centre and a number of drink-driving incidents.

A 31-year-old male was arrested at 0430 this morning in the town centre for a number of alcohol-related offences including assaulting an emergency worker.

A 35-year-old female was arrested in the Appleton area for drink driving after a collision, while a 23-year-old female was arrested on Wash Lane, Latchford, for drink driving offences. Her initial sample was twice over the legal limit.

In another incident, a 37-year-old female was arrested in the Winwick area for public order offences and driving offences.

A 27-year-old male was arrested in the Winwick area for a number of offences including driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, no licence etc.

A 27-year-old male was also arrested in the Birchwood area for assault, fail to stop and drink driving offences.

A 32-year-old male was also arrested in the Bewsey area for a burglary of a dwelling.
