Police appeal after catalytic converter theft attempts at Burtonwood

POLICE are appealing for information after several vehicles in the Burtonwood area of Warrington were targeted for catalytic converter thefts.

These are part of a car’s exhaust emissions system and are sought after as they contain valuable metals.

Local PCSO Tony Spruce said: “Please be aware, sadly all security measures we are aware of would need a garage to assist in either marking your cat up with registration or installing a cover over them.

“If anyone has any information regarding thefts or cctv that might help please let me know in a private message on here or via 101 quoting 1ml 1327258.”
