Latest COVID-19 hot spots as new cases fall in ALL areas of Warrington and infection rates fall by more than 50 per cent

NEW COVID-19 cases have fallen in all areas of Warrington in the latest small area data, with infection rates falling by more than 50 percent across the town.

The latest data published yesterday, January 20, for the week ending January 15, show COVID-19 infection rates in Warrington had dropped significantly to 2,049 new cases in a seven-day period compared to 4,437 the previous week and 4,816 the week before that.

It follows on from eleven consecutive days of decreases in daily data.

But infection rates still remain high in some areas of Warrington, particularly in central areas of the town including Fairfield & Howley (144) and Central Warrington (131) although infection rates have still fallen significantly in these areas.
