COVID-19 infection rates and hospital inpatient numbers continue to fall as 319 new cases confirmed

COVID-19 rates are continuing to fall in Warrington, with no further deaths reported at the town’s hospital where inpatient numbers are continuing to fall.

Meanwhile, a total of 319 (291) new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed by the UK Health Security Agency in the latest daily data, taking the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 57,858 (57,539).

Infection rates over a seven-day period have fallen to 2,049 (2,139) – 978.5 (1,021.5) per 100,000 population but are still above the national average of 922 (941.3) per 100,000, which have fallen again over a seven day period.

While no further deaths have been reported, inpatient numbers have fallen again from 67-62, while another 23 patients have been discharged since yesterday.
