Air ambulance and emergency services attend after man seriously injured after falling from town centre building

A man believed to be working on a Warrington town centre development has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a four-storey building in Palmyra Square earlier today.

The man is understood to have received serious injuries following the fall from the building which is currently being converted into flats.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 11.14am today (Wednesday 24 February) police were called to a building site in Palmyra Square, Warrington following reports of a man having fallen from a building.
“The casualty has been taken to Aintree Hospital in what is believed to be a serious condition.
“The Health and Safety Executive have been notified of the incident and a joint investigation into the circumstances will be progressed.”
Emergency services attended at the scene including the air ambulance which landed on the Warrington town hall lawn.
