COMMUNITY help hub and food bank Craft in Mind has teamed up with ASDA to help provide support for flood victims in Warrington.

Based at the Cockhedge centre in Warrington Craft in Mind, with the support of Asda Cockhedge have been supporting families affected by the flooding in Bewsey and Dallam.
The Asda Foundation gave Craft in Mind £3000 of funding to help families with food, toiletries, brand new bedding, towels and cleaning products.
Whilst food was distributed around the affected areas, towels, bedding and cleaning products are being given out from Craft in Mind director Emma Green’s home in Dallam, which has been opened up to the community as a ‘help hub’ to make it easier for families to get the things they need without having to travel.
A lot of the residents’ cars have been written off due to flood damage.
Craft in Mind Director, John Wilson said: “We have been working tirelessly and liaising with local groups to get these supplies to families as quickly as possible. It is very humbling to see how the community have pulled together. We have been inundated with messages offering to make deliveries, day or night. We’d like to thank ASDA community champion Liz Cotterill for working relentlessly and supporting us in our endeavour to help as many people as we can”.
Craft in Mind will continue to support those affected by the flooding. Lots of families are still in hotels across Warrington and when they can finally go home, they will also need the support.
Anyone who would like to help Craft in Mind to continue supporting those affected by the floods should call Emma on 07307206877 or via their fundraising page https://www.gofundme.com/f/2661lgcdlc
George Wesson Cockhedge Centre manager added : “Cockhedge Owners and Centre Management are delighted to continue to provide support and a base of operation for Emma and the Team. It is great to see the help they are continuing to offer to those within the Warrington community in light of the recent flooding and ongoing pandemic. We are also very proud to see two of the Cockhedge Tenants cooperating so closely to benefit those within the community.”
